Uganda Premier League side Express FC has completed the signing of Daniel Shabene in the ongoing transfer.
Shabene returns to the Red Eagles, a side he previously played for four years from 2018 to 2022.
Shabene joins Express as a free agent after running down his contract with newly promoted side Mbale Heroes.
While at Express, Shabene won the league title and CECAFA Kagame Cup in 2021.
The hardworking midfielder joined Mbale Heroes in 2023 and helped the side attain top flight football.
He scored one of the two goals that guided Mbale Heroes to a 2-1 victory against Onduparaka in a game that sealed promotion.
According to reports, Express has already signed midfielder Alex Wasswa and forward Sam Ssenyonjo.
