  • Al Hilal Beghanzi vs Kitara

Kitara FC forward Denis Omedi is blazing with positive vibes ahead of their second leg against Libya’s Al Hilal Beghanzi in the CAF Confederation Cup on Friday.

Despite falling in the first leg to Al Hilal, Omedi believes it’s not yet done since they have a strong chance to overturn the result.

“We didn’t get the result we wanted in the first leg. Every player gave their best that night, and you saw what happened,” Omedi stated.

“We managed to score two goals and even defend better even with a man less. That kind of display clearly proves that we can make it,” he added.

“It will be a tough game, but we have the determination and confidence that we can go far come Friday should we minimise the errors that cost us the first leg.”

Kitara faced a tough welcome on the continental stage as they were edged by Al Hilal in the game played last week at Benina Martyrs Stadium.

They went two goals down before the half-time break. Five minutes into the second half, Crispus Kusiima was sent off after handling the ball outside the box.

But Kitara responded through Brian Aheebwa and Omedi, though the two goals were not enough to get something positive from the game.
