Uganda Premier League | Fixture
- Vipers vs Express – 7 PM
- Kitara vs NEC – 4 PM
- UPDF vs Lugazi – 4 PM
Vipers host Express at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende, in the Uganda Premier League on Thursday.
The game will be played under floodlights as the football faithful are treated to a night of action in the comfort of St Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.
Vipers started the campaign on the wrong note, falling to NEC in a 3-1 loss at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo on Sunday.
Vipers captain Milton Karisa expects a better performance as they take on the Red Eagles today.
“Our first game ended in a loss, which was disappointing. But going forward, we expect better. We are ready to put our bodies on the line to see that we get the three points,” he stated.
“We want our fans to get that joy back because we disappointed them last time. We have to do all it takes to see that we win that game. The assignment is big, but like I said, we are ready,” he added.
On the other hand, Express comes in this game seeking to keep their winning streak alive since they managed to beat Mbale Heroes 2-1 at Nakivubo.
Express’ lineup has been improved with experienced names like Emmanuel Wasswa, Said Kyeyune, and Mustafa Kizza, who can easily give the opponent a hard time.
Former Vipers forward Richard Basangwa recently joined Express and might be available to debut against his former paymasters.
