Uganda National U-20 secured a 3-0 victory against Ethiopia in the U-20 AFCON Qualifiers at Azam Complex, Dar es Salaam, on Monday.
Godfrey Ssekibengo, Swabir Mpasa, and Innocent Kisolo were on target as Uganda sealed maximum points on the day.
Agile midfielder, Ssekibengo fired the Hippos in the lead in the 23rd minute.
Before going into the long break, Mpasa doubled Uganda’s lead as the boys in yellow took full control of the game.
In the second half, Uganda kept on the front foot as they kept hungry to extend their lead in front of a small crowd.
At the death of the game, Kisolo’s effort was deflected into the back of the net by Ethiopia’s Biniyam Bubulo.
Uganda will return to action on Wednesday as they take on Burundi at the KMC Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
Uganda is pitted in Group B alongside Ethiopia and South Sudan.
