Vipers Sports Club secured a 1-0 victory against the Select Team in the semifinal encounter on Sunday at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
The narrow victory guided the Venoms into the final, where they will lock horns with BUL FC.
Allan Okello scored a late winner to break the hearts of the Select Team that thought they had dragged the game into penalties.
It was a closely contested game. However, the Venoms created more chances than Sam Simbwa’s charges.
Two minutes into the second stanza, Okello forced Bashir Sekagya into a full stretch save to palm away the curling free kick.
Five minutes later, Sekagya made two successive saves to deny Milton Karisa and Kenneth Kimera as Vipers kept knocking on the door.
Okello broke the deadlock in stoppage time. The agile forward was set up by Karisa, and he calmly slotted the ball past goalkeeper Sekagya.
