UCU Lady Canons are confident ahead of their game three encounter against KIU Rangers in the National Basketball League playoffs on Tuesday at Lugogo Indoor Arena.
Shortly after a well-deserved victory in game one, the Lady Canons looked a shadow of themselves as they easily lost to the KIU Rangers in game two.
However, Lady Canons’ Shakira Nanvubya is confident that they will reclaim the series lead in game three.
“We have been in this place before, and I believe we shall carry ourselves to meet the required standards in game three,” Nanvubya stated.
“I am confident that we shall beat them and reclaim our lead. We miss handled the previous game, and I promise that will not happen again going forward.”
“The coaches have done a great job preparing us, and now it’s up to us to go on the flow and put up the required fight so that we enlighten our chances of going further.”
The Lady Canons looked a mess in the second half of their previous game, and it is something they will have to work upon if they are to secure a win today.
The Rangers’ pressure defence forced the Lady Canons into avoidable turnovers, thus walking away with a hard-fought victory.
In the men’s category, the Namuwongo Blazers will be locking horns with KIU Titans in a highly anticipated game three since the series are tied.
