FUFA Super 8 | Fixture
- KCCA vs Kitara – 5PM
- Uganda Cranes Select vs SC Villa – 8 PM
KCCA will be hosting Kitara FC in the Super 8 encounter at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo, on Saturday, August 3, 2024.
It will be the early kick-off of the two quarterfinals that are set to be witnessed today in Lugogo.
KCCA will be out to end Kitara’s dominance, having picked six points from them in the previous Uganda Premier League edition.
However, KCCA head coach Abdallah Mubiru plans to handle this game just like a preparing tool ahead of the league proper.
“We go into this game knowing this is part of our pre season preparations. It is three weeks since the team returned,” the gaffer said ahead of the game.
“We are using this time to find different patterns that work for our team. We have tried to work on our shortcomings of the previous season, and there is surely progress,” he added.
KCCA will miss the services of new signing Steven Munguchi and Ashraf Mugume, who are nursing injuries, while the rest of the squad is available for selection.
On the other hand, Kitara will also continue sharpening it’s tools ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup engagement.
The game will be followed by an encounter that will see the Uganda Cranes Select team take on the League’s champions SC Villa.
